Destiny 2 - Vex Metal Materials

I was tasked with redesigning the vex environment materials and asset workflow for Destiny 2. Ultimately, my goal was to increase the depth and fidelity of the materials, while adding some more intentional design elements. Vex base metal

Vex metal alpha- This was often layered over top of a solid metal to create layers of depth to the vex surfaces.

This was a simpler, lower detail version of the vex base metal. This could be blended in to the metal surfaces to help break up repetition and reduce visual noise.
